 A 6-week lifestyle program

It’s always been said that “you can’t hide from the facts.” And we don’t want to. We want to let them lead the way to a lifestyle that will be most in harmony with how our bodies function and heal.

 

Like the fact that just 4 Brazil nuts are so packed with nutrition that they have the potential to positively affect your lipid profile within 9 hours, and the change can last for an entire month. And the fact that plant-based diets not only decrease your risk for disease, they can also be used to treat and even reverse many of them. Our bodies are constantly trying to heal and repair themselves, and with the right fuel, often times the results are remarkable.

At Field and Mountain Wellness, we know that no one person is the same. And we embrace it. Whatever you are dealing with, and wherever you are in your journey, we want to harness the power of plants and lifestyle adjustments to help you achieve the results you want. In our Plant-Based YOU program, we will take one night a week for six weeks to deep dive into the science behind a plant-based diet, and then we put it to the test. The goal is to progressively (weekly) add changes to your routine to help you adopt and sustain lasting change.

Plant-Based YOU is a group program with live presentations from our nutritionist where we learn together, make changes together and support each other. At the beginning of the program, each participant will sign up for a pre-program meeting with our nutritionist where we will go over your lifestyle evaluation, take some basic measurements (weight, height, blood pressure, etc), look at lab work, and answer any questions you may have.

 

Once the program begins, each evening will have two main components.

 

First, we will hunker down, dig in and learn about the effect that a nutritionally complete, plant-based lifestyle has on various conditions, such as:

 

heart disease

high blood pressure

diabetes

auto-immune diseases

cancer

immunity

 

We want you to be inspired and motivated by the facts, and to realize that they are not just studies and stories, they can impact you personally.

 

Next, it’s time to get practical. We will talk about things like how to prep your home for a healthy lifestyle, realistic ways to eat whole foods, how to get better sleep, and tips to help you stay on track and enjoy a new lifestyle. You’ll leave each class with specific, personalized plans for you to put into practice during the next week.

We have to warn you, implementation of this program can have very real side effects, from weight loss to improvement or reversal of blood pressure, atherosclerosis, type II diabetes and other chronic diseases. All jokes aside, if you have a chronic condition, you will need to inform your doctor that you will be doing a lifestyle program and work closely with him/her as you may need to adjust your medications.
